Most notable is the only known live performance of the "Trouble / Raised On Rock" medley, pairing the defiant swagger of "King Creole" with his then-current single in an experiment that lasted just one evening. By the following night, the medley had already been abandoned, and "Raised on Rock" would never be performed again.

Elsewhere, Elvis revives "Memphis, Tennessee," continuing a brief return to the Chuck Berry classic after its appearance during the July tour, while "My Boy" receives its first public outing months before it would be recorded in the studio. Like many opening nights, the concert is less about perfection than possibility. Familiar songs are approached with fresh arrangements, others are tried and quickly discarded, and the show reveals an artist still searching for new directions rather than simply repeating past successes.
